What you’ll do
Role purpose:
The Senior Accountant APA (Accredited Professional Accountant) will ensure that the Fixed Assets and Inventory are recorded according to IFRS Standards and Vodacom Policies, all assets are capitalized in time and they are generating revenue. Control the Inventory movements, ensure the existence, and correct Valuation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Paid AUC – Review the AUC’s Capitalizations in time in order to meet the Paid AUC KPI.
- Review the run test and final monthly depreciation according to global depreciation schedule;
- Ensure that all month-end tasks are done in time and all BS reconciliations are done and Reviewed in time, review the P&L variances and provide the related comments.
- Ensure that FIFO criteria is used for stock sales in order to avoid Stock Obsolescence, Ensure that the stock Count is reviewed in monthly bases, and the reconciliations and adjustments done in time
- Support the management and The Business to make the correct decisions based on the Reports and information provided and support the Internal and external Audit.
What we are looking in you:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or Audit;
- ACCA , related or equivalent certification (advantage)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or related area;
- Good knowledge in IFRS Standards.
- Consolidated leadership, proactivity, overall communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment with the achievement of division’s KPIs and organization’s goals.
