Our client in Cabo delgado is looking for a Senior Exploration Geologist to join their team within the Mining Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure both personal and team adherence to HSE standards, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee and ensure the safe execution of geological fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, drilling, and XRF analysis.
  • Conduct detailed logging, sampling, and photographic recording of drill cores
  • Maintain accurate physical and digital geological records, including drill logs and core images.
  • Monitor Exploration Process Plant (EPP) and weighbridge operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize geological software for data management and resource modelling.
  • Support the development of junior geologists through mentoring and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or a related discipline.
  • 6 to 11 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration.
  • Proven ability in geological mapping, drilling supervision, sampling, and data interpretation.
  • Strong experience in geological data analysis and technical reporting.
