Our client in Maputo is looking for a Silo Supervisor to join their team for a job vacancy within the FMCG Sector.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate intake and storage of Grain.
- Coordinate transferring of Grain to mill needs or across to other milling units.
- Escalate challenges relating to Silo optimization.
- Coordinate resources (people, equipment, etc.)
- Manage the materials of each silo, regularly monitor the grain situation of each silo and arrange the cooling down plan.
- Liaise with Plant Manager on grain Vessel / shipment arrival and make necessary arrangements to ensure the Process Equipment / machinery and Silos space are properly organized to ensure smooth discharge operation.
- Maintain the warehouse record, goods receipt note, transfer note for transfer of stock from one Silo to another silos. Ensure there is adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm inventory and stock movements.
- Manage and monitor daily inventory at the Grain Silo and All Flat Storages containing grains to ensure effective and accurate inventory control.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent.
- Proven work experience as Silo / supervisor.
- At least 3 years’ experience in receiving, handling, transferring and Inventory management in Grain Silos and any Flat Warehouse storage.
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Competencies in data entry.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
