Role purpose:
Support and Operate within the IP Networks domain for Vodacom Mozambique.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

•    Supervise the performance and verify the health of the network elements.
•    Provide a fast response support upon network faults.
•    Guarantee an excel security to all the IP Network and its supporting elements.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

•    5+ years of experience in IP Network domain, including Security Firewall Infrastructure.
•    Basic knowledge of mobile and fixed technologies (standard and non-standard) across the Consumer and Business customer base.
•    Deep Knowledge of TCP/IP and IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLAN, VXLAN).
•    Deep understanding of EPC architecture.
•    Understanding of NFV, VMWare, CloudOS, OpenStack is an advantage.
•    Be familiarized with ISP next-generation network concepts like SDN, SD-WAN, EVPN, E-Tree, MVPN, Spine and Leaf.
•    Basic to advanced knowledge of Automation and Orchestration .
•    Interpersonal skills (teamwork first).

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

•    University Degree such as BSC in Telecom and / or IT as a minimum (preferably postgraduate).
•    Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent.

•    Network Availability.
•    Network Quality Standards.
