• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on trailers

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs

• Replace or repair trailer components such as brakes, lights, and landing legs

• Conduct safety checks and ensure trailers are roadworthy

• Communicate effectively with the workshop supervisor regarding issues, parts, and timelines

• Provide support during fleet audits and inspections

• Condition and safety of mud covers and mud guards

The Trailer Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy-duty trailers to ensure safety, compliance, and roadworthiness. The role involves diagnosing faults, replacing defective parts, conducting routine inspections, and ensuring that all trailer work is completed to the highest standard.

• Valid Code 10 Drivers License
• 5 months Practical experience
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a workshop environment
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical trailer systems
