Our client in Maputo is looking for a Training Technician to join their team within the Chemistry Sector.
Responsibilities
- Train and monitor other workers involved in chemical processing.
- Select and set up the required lab equipment for tests, experiments, and analyses.
- Conduct lab tests for qualitative and quantitative analyses of various substances and materials.
- Assist with the preparation of chemical solutions.
- Keep the laboratory neat and clean and sterilize all work surfaces and equipment.
- Regularly inspect materials and equipment and order more as required.
- Work alongside other engineers, chemists, and scientists to develop improved production processes and methods.
- Interpret test results and compile technical reports.
- Keep up-to-date with field advancements and share new knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or similar.
- Additional courses in math, biology, and chemistry would be advantageous.
- A completed apprenticeship or on-the-job training.
- Excellent knowledge of lab safety.
- Knowledge of computer science and statistics is a plus.
- Strong analytical, observational, and time management skills.
- The ability to follow instructions and focus for extended periods.
