Travel Consultant
- Work Location: Maputo
- Industry: Tourism Industry
- Education: Diploma or degree in Travel, Tourism, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
- Languages: Fluent in English & Portuguese
- Salary: Industry standard + bonus
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and manage airline reservations using GDS/airline portals with complete and accurate traveller details (name, contact number, email, passport details, etc.).
- Provide fare quotations, itinerary options, and travel advice to clients based on their requirements.
- Issue, reissue, cancel, and refund tickets in accordance with airline rules and company policies.
- Ensure travellers receive schedule change notifications, flight updates, and travel advisories on time.
- Assist clients with online check-in, seat selection, special meal requests, and ancillary services.
- Coordinate with airlines, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve booking issues and service disruptions.
- Maintain proper email trails, documentation, and ticket records for all transactions.
- Handle client queries and complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.
- Comply with KPI and KRA requirements and meet productivity and service quality standards.
- Follow company SOPs and ensure data accuracy to avoid operational and client service issues.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of GDS systems (Amadeus / Galileo /Sabre) and airline portals.
- Good understanding of fare rules, RBDs, and ticketing procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple bookings simultaneously.
- Team oriented with a proactive and responsible attitude.
- Experience in corporate travel handling is an advantag
