Our client in Nacala is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team within the FMCG Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing and shipping agro commodities (e.g. grains, oilseeds and pulses)
- Ensure proper stacking, good storage conditions and preservation of goods, minimizing loss and damage Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records (physical vs system)
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures (moisture check, grading and inspection)
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards in the warehouse
- Manage the warehouse team (shift planning, supervision and performance evaluation)
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on stock and operations
- Prevent losses through proper handling, pest control and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO)
- Check goods received according to Delivery Notes, Bills of Lading, or Packing Lists
- Report disagreements with the procurement and warehouse manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Agriculture or related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in agrocommodities.
- Knowledge of commodity handling, warehousing practices, and quality parameters.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (compliance).
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution centers.
- Experience with FMCG products will be an asset.
- Notions of logistics or storage and packaging of materials.
- Knowledge of Checking Guides and/or Loading Orders practices.
- Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO.
- Basic knowledge of stock management.
- Knowledge of basic HSE rules.
- Basic use of WMS/ERP systems or collectors.
