Our client in Maputo is looking for a Head Chef (French Cuisine Specialist) to join their team within the Hospitality Sector.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all daily kitchen operations;
- Prepare and develop French cuisine dishes;
- Ensure the quality, presentation, and consistency of served dishes;
- Create and update menus inspired by French gastronomy;
- Coordinate, train, and supervise the kitchen team;
- Control food stock and place purchase orders;
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards;
- Monitor costs, waste, and kitchen profitability;
Requirements:
- Degree in Gastronomy, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef;
- Proven experience in preparing French dishes;
- Knowledge of classical and contemporary French cooking techniques;
- Experience in team management and kitchen operations;
- Knowledge of cost control and stock management;
- Strong leadership, organization, and ability to work under pressure;
