Our client in Maputo is looking for a Head Chef (French Cuisine Specialist) to join their team within the Hospitality Sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all daily kitchen operations;
  • Prepare and develop French cuisine dishes;
  • Ensure the quality, presentation, and consistency of served dishes;
  • Create and update menus inspired by French gastronomy;
  • Coordinate, train, and supervise the kitchen team;
  • Control food stock and place purchase orders;
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards;
  • Monitor costs, waste, and kitchen profitability;

Requirements:

  • Degree in Gastronomy, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef;
  • Proven experience in preparing French dishes;
  • Knowledge of classical and contemporary French cooking techniques;
  • Experience in team management and kitchen operations;
  • Knowledge of cost control and stock management;
  • Strong leadership, organization, and ability to work under pressure;
