Our client in Maputo is looking for a Pastry Chef to join their team within the Hospitality Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cakes, desserts, breads, pastries, and other confectionery products;
  • Decorate and present pastry products in a creative and attractive manner;
  • Follow established recipes and quality standards;
  • Ensure the freshness, consistency, and quality of all products;
  • Monitor and control stock levels of pastry ingredients and materials;
  • Ensure proper storage and preservation of food products and ingredients;
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry work area;
  • Operate pastry equipment safely and efficiently;

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Pastry, Confectionery, Culinary Arts, or related field;
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of pastry and confectionery techniques;
  • Experience in cake preparation, baking, and dessert decoration;
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Creativity and passion for pastry arts;
