Responsibilities:
- Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
- Manage and minimise HSSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
- Compliance with all HSSE Policies, rules, guidelines and legal requirements
- Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
- That HSSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility
- Support to create and update cost centers and profit centers, aligning with analytical hierarchy data.
- Participate to prepare monthly financial reports, including flash and final results, and explain variations against budget and previous year.
- Support to Analyze monthly product margins and supply results, providing explanations for impacts.
- Develop and implement new solutions to address encountered challenges.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including IFRS and US GAAP.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize financial processes and reporting
- Carries out the accounting (Checks all accounting entries), consolidated and corporate accounts functions on time
- Rationalises accounting schemes and verify their orthodoxy to ensure compliance with accounting and tax rules
- Prepares all statutory financial statements, supporting schedules and declarations (determination of income tax, …)
- Ensures compliance with all approved policies and procedures within the accounting division
- Coordinates SAP-related matters for the accounting division; including validating requests for modification, creation and subsequent evolution and status of these requests
- Participates in all projects, notably IT projects, having an impact on Business.
- Negotiates the optimisation of our banking conditions, monitor their application, and ensure compliance.
- Completing the annual Finance plan in conjunction with the Management Accountant
- Attends monthly meetings (oil loss and stock variance control, Credit Control and Fixed Cost and Capex Review.
- Performs other tasks as instructed by Finance Director Managing Director
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent level in Accounting or Management
- A deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, such as IFRS.
- Proficiency in using financial management and accounting systems, particularly ERP platforms like SAP.
- Advanced skills or accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Familiarity with audit processes.
- Effective communication for clearly presenting financial information and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail ensures accuracy in financial reporting, and organizational skills support the management of multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Additionally, a proactive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure contribute to maintaining high standards in financial control operations.
- Portuguese and English (Advantageous)
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, such as IFRS.
- Familiarity with financial management systems and ERP platforms like SAP.
- Expertise in budgeting processes, as well as a strong grasp of internal control frameworks and compliance monitoring tools to ensure regulatory adherence.
