Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the project from mobilization through construction, installation, commissioning and final handover.
• Coordinate closely with RBO, monitor construction progress and ensure works remain aligned with the agreed schedule, quality requirements and budget.
• Maintain a detailed project schedule, monitor milestones and immediately address delays or potential bottlenecks.
• Maintain strict control of the project budget, committed costs, actual expenditure and forecast cost to completion.
• Monitor all supplier/subcontractor commitments and ensure additional or unbudgeted costs are not incurred without appropriate approval.
• Prepare and maintain a weekly project cash-flow forecast, matching expected company receipts against upcoming supplier, contractor and project payments.
• Anticipate potential cash-flow gaps and escalate them to Head Office sufficiently in advance.
• Coordinate procurement and ensure critical materials and equipment are available according to the construction schedule.
• Manage project meetings, client requirements, variations, approvals and outstanding actions.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE, quality and contractual requirements.
• Submit a concise weekly report to company Head Office covering progress, schedule, costs, cash flow, client collections, contractor payments, risks and required management decisions.
• Coordinate final inspection, commissioning, handover and project close-out. 

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience managing construction, industrial, oil & gas or similar projects.
• Strong experience in subcontractor and construction management.
• Strong commercial understanding, including budgeting, cost control, cash-flow forecasting, invoicing and supplier payment management.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and operate independently in a demanding project environment.
• Strong Excel and project reporting skills; MS Project/Primavera experience is an advantage.
• Excellent English; Portuguese is an advantage.
• Experience in Mozambique, LNG, EPC or major industrial projects is an advantage.
