FUNCTION
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure and under the overall guidance of the Head of Programmes, the Monitoring & Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing field-level monitoring and administrative support to the Foundation’s activities in Cabo Delgado. The position will conduct regular visits to Foundation-supported projects and infrastructure sites in Pemba and other assigned locations, monitor implementation and progress against agreed milestones, support the verification of programme activities and reported results, and collect relevant field evidence and supporting documentation. The position will also be responsible for documenting field observations through monitoring reports, checklists, photographs, videos and monitoring trackers, maintaining organised project records and promptly reporting delays, inconsistencies, implementation constraints or other matters requiring follow-up. In addition, the position will provide practical administrative and logistical support to the Pemba office and to field missions, including coordination of field arrangements, documentation, local transport, meetings and other operational requirements, while liaising with implementing partners, contractors, Government counterparts and other relevant stakeholders. The Monitoring & Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure, Administration/Operations, Programme and Communications teams and will undertake other monitoring, administrative and field-support activities as required.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree, or recently completed university degree, preferably in Development Studies, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Relations, Public Policy or Public Administration, Social Sciences, Project Management, Civil Engineering/Construction-related studies or another relevant field;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in project administration, field monitoring, development programmes, infrastructure projects or similar activities;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting field visits, collecting and analysing information and preparing reports;
- Experience working with non-governmental organisations, development organisations, Government programmes, construction/infrastructure projects or community programmes is an advantage;
- Professional experience and residency in Cabo Delgado are required;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Good report-writing and documentation management skills;
- Ability to use smartphones and cameras for field activity documentation;
- Ability to systematically organise and archive photographs, videos and electronic documentation;
- Knowledge of basic monitoring and evaluation concepts;
- Fluency in Portuguese and working knowledge of English;
- Knowledge of local languages spoken in Cabo Delgado is an advantage;
- Strong organisational, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively with different stakeholders, including Government entities, development partners and the private sector;
- Willingness and ability to travel to project locations when necessary, in accordance with applicable safety and security procedures;
- Mozambican nationality.
