1. Purpose of the Consultancy

Under the supervision of the Nutrition Information Manager, and in close collaboration with the Social Policy and Social Protection team and the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the consultant will analyse the IOF 2025/26 dataset and produce a supplementary Nutrition chapter through three sequential deliverables.

2. Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Academic Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in complex nutrition and household-survey analysis is desirable.

Technical Skills and Expertise

  • Demonstrated expertise in complex survey methods;

  • Knowledge of anthropometry and data-quality assessment;

  • Experience analysing nutrition, food consumption and food security indicators;

  • Knowledge of child poverty, coping strategies, mosquito-net use and early childhood development indicators;

  • Ability to produce reproducible analyses and high-quality technical reports;

  • Ability to deliver quality outputs within deadlines and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required;

  • Portuguese language skills are an asset.
