Our client in Tete is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team within the Construction Sector.
Responsibilities
- Design and plan construction projects, including preparing cost estimates, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Oversee and manage all phases of the construction process, from initial site preparation through final inspection and closeout.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety guidelines, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements.
- Review and approve construction plans and drawings and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Analyze data and report findings to management and other stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required), Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on construction project management and design.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and transportation engineering.
- Experience with engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify solutions to engineering challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and to adapt quickly to changing situations.
