Job Description

 

• Provide overall leadership, coordination and technical guidance for program implementation on district and provincial level • Lead the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of activities in line with project objectives and timelines. • Coordinate with key partners including the National Youth Institute, implementing NGOs, schools, and local authorities. • Ensure integration of gender-transformative and youth-centered approaches. • Oversee financial and administrative management, including budget planning and reporting. • Manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring performance and capacity development. • Serve as main liaison with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other institutional partners.

 

Your Role:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Public Health, Education, Development Studies or related field. • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in program leadership roles in youth empowerment, education, or gender equality. • Proven experience managing large-scale, donor-funded projects (preferably World Bank or similar). • Strong capacity in coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement. • Excellent knowledge of national gender and youth policies and local context. • Fluent in Portuguese; working knowledge of English is an asset.
